Matius 12:2
Konteks12:2 But when the Pharisees 1 saw this they said to him, “Look, your disciples are doing what is against the law to do on the Sabbath.”
Matius 18:7
Konteks18:7 Woe to the world because of stumbling blocks! It 2 is necessary that stumbling blocks come, but woe to the person through whom they come.
Matius 20:28
Konteks20:28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom 3 for many.”
[12:2] 1 sn See the note on Pharisees in 3:7.
[18:7] 2 tn Grk “For it.” Here γάρ (gar) has not been translated.
[20:28] 3 sn The Greek word for ransom (λύτρον, lutron) is found here and in Mark 10:45 and refers to the payment of a price in order to purchase the freedom of a slave. The idea of Jesus as the “ransom” is that he paid the price with his own life by standing in our place as a substitute, enduring the judgment that we deserved for sin.
